How do i rearrange my plant and other items with out taking all the water out of my fish tank?

Answers:
Just rinse your hand and arm off. Reach in, and move the items you would moved to there new location in your tank.
Just move them around underwater
rinse your arm off well and just stick your hand in
well you could take out about half the water and reach into the tank and lift them and put them where you want them the recover the base of it to keep it in place
On your next water change (which is usually about 30-50% of the water) take out whatever amount of water you usually take out and then just roll up your sleeves, put your hands in the water and start arranging. Make sure your hands are clean. But this all depends on what types of fish you have in your aquarium as some tend to get stressed more than others as well as the size and shape of your aquarium.
clean your hands with a mild soap well and reach in and move them around the fish can stay in too it scares em a bit but they recouperate from it fast
If you have a fish net, you can use that. I do it all the time!!!
If you want to rearrange your whole tank setup, you might as well do a partial water change while your at it (because theres going to be lots of substrate moving. simply have a damp cloth on top of a table nearby or a spare tank (with the existing tank water) and put all the plants and decorations in there for now. vaccuum out most of the dirt so the water will be clear enough to place things in there(but do not throw out more than 40-50% of the water). Once your done with your setup, you can either fill up the rest of the water taken out, or just fill the rest with new water. Make sure that you finalize where your live plants are going to permanently stay because some types of plants get real stressed when moved.
