How do i know if my fish are pregnent?

i have 6 cherry barbs 1 male and 5 females how will i no if one is gong to have babies
Answers:
Only the livebearing fish give birth: guppies, mollies, platies, Endler's, swordtails.
The Cherry Barbs are egg layers. When spawning, the female will deposit one to three eggs at a time, until she has deposited up to 300. The eggs will be seen hanging from plants by a small thread. You can tell when ready to spawn as the male will get bright red (his come on, baby, colors :) )
The only way I can tell is when their belly starts getting huge!
First, look at it.Then, see if it has a big stomach whitch is the bottom of it.Ps. look at all except for the male ones.
Chery Barbs don't get pregnant, they don't "have" babies. They are egglayers and also egg-scatterers so you will probably not know when they have spawned because the eggs will be eaten immediately.
Barbs are not livebearers, so it could be a little hard to spot pregnancy. If she starts to get fat when you don't feed her, then she is pregnant.

Here's more info on breeding them-http://www.timstropicals.com/inventory/b...
