This is what I do:
You need a 5 or 10 gallon tank. 10 is best. Do not put any gravel on the bottom. Only fill the tank up half way. Put a filter in it that barely perks. A heater set between 78-82 degrees..mine is set at 78. Also a air stone that barely bubbles. Nothing too strong or it will break up the nest. Put the male in and get a new oil lamp globe and set it in the middle of the tank. Place the female in the globe. Leave her there until the male blows the bubble nest. If he doesn't then the female isn't ready to breed. You need to take her out for about a week or switch females. Let him blow his bubble nest for a day or so. Then release the female and watch them closely for the first couple of hours. When you release her the lights need to stay on in the tank for 24/7 until you remove the male. The male will chase the female and flare at her and then lure her to his nest. He will then wrap his body around her and squeeze her until some eggs come out. He fertilizes them also when he does this. The female will sink to the bottom for a few seconds while he swims around catching the eggs in his mouth and blowing them up in his nest. This will continue up to 12 hours. Please watch them closely because when the female no longer has eggs he will chase her away from the nest and he could kill her. Thats when you remove her from the tank carefully, not to disturb the nest. The male will take care of the eggs for up to 10 days. The eggs hatch within 2-3 days. When the fry are free swimming (going side to side not just floating down) you need to remove the male. Even if not all of the fry are free swimming you should do this to keep him from eating them. Now's the time to feed them. They will need to eat microworms, vinegar eels, or infusoria. To start an infusoria culture, you need to let a rabbit food pellet or a lettuce leaf rot in some still water. When water is cloudy, then the infusoria has bloomed. You shouldn't mess with the tank at all within the first two weeks. Keep a close eye on the fry to make sure they don't get ick or any other illness.
make sure they are both female!

Put them in a tank with a filter and pump. Feed them dried worms you can purchase at a pet store or even wal-mart. Be sure there are plants in the tank the female will have a place to hide when the male gets too aggressive. When the eggs hatch the babies would need a place to hide so the male doesn't eat them. They make floating baby pens for the tanks or dividers you can place in the tank. Keep the temperature warm.
