How do fish have babies?

How do fish have babies? It is something I want to know about.
Answers:
Different fish breed in different ways. Most fish lay eggs which the males fertilize. Some fish are livebearers and give birth to actual baby fry. These include guppies, Endler's livebearers, mollies and platys.
How each fish spawn though, depends on the fish. Bettas squeeze the eggs out of the female then the male betta brings them up to a bubble nest he's created.
Some African cichlids keep the eggs in their mouths until they hatch.
Some fish lay eggs in cones. Some only on flat surfaces. Some in leaves or inclines. Some scatter them into the water.
fish can have babies?
Most fish are egg-layers so when a couple pair up the female lays the eggs and the male releases his sperm over the eggs to fertilise them.
This should help: http://faq.thekrib.com/breeding.html...
In most fish, a male and a female pair off, and the female lays the eggs, and the male sprinkles the sperm onto the eggs.

But in some fish, such as Guppies, Platies, Mollies and Swordtails, they actully give birth to live babies.

For them, the male goes very close to the female and releases the sperm into the water close to her, thus fertilizing the eggs inside her. (basically the same as humans)
Most all of the answers you've gotten are basically correct, and Barb and bubbles as well as Tameka hit the big points. I read the link from Tameka myself as I can't quite seem to get spawns of guppies and mollies and it actually helped me on that. I'd just like to tack on that one of the more unusual but fun things to watch are mouth brooders, which one main type I have seen are Arowana. Most people, and this is speculation have if they do have Arowana have the silver breed which you'll see most common in North and South America. Arowana's go into an elaborate courtship in which a male and female will pair off, and IF they get along, (that's exactly how to say it) then the male will circle around the female to induce her to release her eggs, which he will immediately fertilize and keep the eggs in his mouth. In the Asia breeding farms, the incubation period is roughly 21-28 days, depending on the specific color species. The fry will still live in the fathers mouth for many months if in the wild, but in farms, the "farmers" will isolate the father who is carrying fry, and they will manually open the fathers mouth to get him to let go of the fry. This is a very challenging process and some fry do get killed by jumping back into the fathers mouth as he closes it from time to time. Fry are then kept in thier own enviroments and raised from there. Just an addition to the good answers you already recieved.
