How long does it take a platy to give birth frys??

Well im not completly sure, but I have swordtails which are like a bigger version and I had 2 batches exactally one month apart, so approximetly one month

you're not actually gonna count how many fries, are you?
coz platies gave birth around 40 - 50 fries in 4-6 weeks.
you'll be able to see if the females are ready to deliver, if you see their "swollen" belly are darker. don't stress the female in this stage!
