I'm wondering how long they can survive in the fresh water of the Sacramento River? It's been like 3 or 4 days now.

There can't be much food for them there. The calf is probably still feeding off the mother ? I hope they can get them to turn around somehow. Or that they decide to on their own. I would say they have 7 more days at the most, my guess.
The experts said they are going to wait til Tuesday of next week to try and herd them out, it will be very stressful for the whales.
