How can I tell if my goldfish is pregnant?

I don't think gold fish get pregnant. They lay eggs, and when the male fertilizes the eggs they may hatch in 30 days. If they don't eat them. They usually do when in a small tank.

There is no reliable way to even tell males from females except during spawning season. This is when females become swollen with ripe eggs. The best way to tell females is to look at them from above - from that angle, egg-laden females look much broader than males.
