i take it you are on about the juwel 3D background, once your tank is set up, you can't put it on. You got to do it before you put any thing in the tank because you put it on with glue and it takes 48hrs to dry.
it depends if you can reach the back of the tank which i presume you can just to get to filters, uv's etc, i would stick it to the back of your fish tank if its a 3d graphics, or if its a 3d background for inside your tank then, its just a case of carefully moving things at least its only tropical and not marine, just slide it in down the back before sliding everything forward at the bottom depends what you got inside and how its situated really hard to tell on something you cant see.
You don't put the background INTO the tank.
You stick it to the OUTSIDE not the inside, LOL. If you can't do that ie it's actual stuff jutting out, just hold the stuff out the way, and move just what is crucial.
you put the background at the back of your tank not in it ,i have one on mine and its stuck down with blue tack, works well
If the background is one of those plastic ones that you can fold up then put it on the back and stick it with blue tank. If its one that's supposed to go inside the tank which I no you can get but I only see them rely then you have to carefully slide it in the back of the tank. These both are very god looking but my favourite is the one you put inside the tank because the fish have more of a life like home because the inside tank 3d is normally shaped into a rook. And the fish love it!
stick to back of tank not recomended for inside
Are you sure it goes onn the inside? Read the direction again. If you're sure it goes on the inside, take out 80% of the water, but leave 2 fish in there. Put on the background using special aquarium glue, not regular glue. Then re-fill the aquarium using the old water (unless you want to an 805 water change) and put the fish back in.

Is this to make it look nicer for you or for them if its for you forget it Its not worth it. You cant just go putting your hand in the water when you like and start messing there home around.Howd you like it ?
Attach it to the back with blue tack its great and it removes very easilly no scuffing marks that you get with sellotape.
Sorry if i seem harsh but its your fish health am thinking about not how it looks to me or you.
