I have 1 leopard danio, 1 zebra danio, 1 gold danio and 1 long finned danio, all together in the same tank with no other fish. Is it possible for them to breed, and some eggs to hatch just normally in the same tank without me knowing? I know it is probably not, seeing as the other fish will eat them, but what are the chnces?
Answers:
The male danio is thinner, torpedo shaped. The females have rounded middles.
It is possible for them to breed. Danios are egg scatterers and the male will just go and fertilize them. Danio eggs are clear and very small. They hatch within 2 days. Most will get eaten though if not separated.
By letting them have sex with you.
the body of the female looks fuller in the rear view..but it may get confusing if they just finished eating
