How long does it take for beta eggs to hatch?

my beta just breaded and i need to know when it is safe for me to change the water so that i dont pour out the eggs

Change the water when the eggs are full grown and out of their eggs swiming around.
Dogs rule is wrong.

Change the water once a week like normal...

I'm not sure how long it will take for them to hatch.
The eggs will hatch in about a day, give or take. Leave the male in the tank with the eggs - he will take care of the eggs and young fry until they become free-swimming (about 3 days). Don't clean the tank for a while (about 2 weeks).

they can take up to 3 days to all hatch. then for about 3 days they'll hang nose-up from the bottom of the bubble nest, unable to swim, feeding off their yolk sacs for nourishment. you don't want to do anything that might disturb the nest because they'll fall out.
you shouldn't do any tank maintenance for at least the first two weeks unless it's really really necessary. hopefully you spawned in a large enough tank and, once you need to feed them, don't feed more than they'll eat, because you really should hold off on cleaning for a bit.

How long does it take for baby platies to grow big?

My platie just had 8 living babies. How long will it take them to get big? please help thanx
Answers:
I don't think there is any set time table that will enable them to just grow. How you fed them and what you feed them are going to be factors as well as your tank and water conditions. Mollies are known to eat thier spawn sometimes, I am not sure if I've heard of Platties doing that, but I'd just do a goggle search. If you have size to care for them, thats great! If you don't consider finding a home for the spawn.
a long time
with my experience, it seems that the more often you feed them, the faster they will grow.

How long does it take for a ghost shrimps' eggs to hatch?

I have a ghost shrimp in a 10 gallon aquarium that was previously in a 55 gallon tank with other shrimp. It is carrying eggs and I was wondering how long it takes them to hatch and what I need to do afterwards to ensure the babies survival.
Answers:
It takes about a month for them to hatch. The larva take about 4-7 days to mature to baby shrimp, but you need to have micro food for them. You can't have them with any fish at all

How long does it take a platy to give birth frys??

Not sure, but you could go down to mcdonalds and buy some.
you're not actually gonna count how many fries, are you?
coz platies gave birth around 40 - 50 fries in 4-6 weeks.
you'll be able to see if the females are ready to deliver, if you see their "swollen" belly are darker. don't stress the female in this stage!
good luck

How long does it take a male fighting fish (betta) to build a bubble nest? How will I know it's done?

I have a fighting fish named Fang and a female betta named Plum. I keep trying to breed them every time I think the nest is done... but, all they do is fight. I really need help on this.
Answers:
Sounds like to me that the female might not be ready. I have a male Betta (finnie) and 2 females (she-devil and rainbow) I tried rainbow with him first and it was a no go. So I put she-devil in and now I have tons of fry. Does the female get vertical lines on her sides when she is in with him? If not then she isn't ready. My Finnie built his nest for almost 2 days and then I put the female in with him. I'd say take her out for a week or so and then try again..In the meantime feed them both well and make sure they are very healthy. I have 2 web sites that I have learned so much about these beautiful fish that I will share with you. Good luck!
Add two more females and he'll eventually build a bubble nest and search for a female. When he finds a female, take out the other two females and out them in another tank. When the female lays the eggs, the male will collect them and spit them into the bubble nest. After the female has laid all the eggs, take her out and put her with the other females. After the eggs hatch and the father takes care of them, put the male back in with the other females and watch the fry grow.
You need to wait until both fish are ready. The male is almost always ready and will build a nest when he is ready to mate. The female needs to be plump with eggs and you should also see her egg spot under her belly. You can see it on this female:
http://www.wetwebmedia.com/miscfishpix/b...
It's the little white spot under her belly

You don;t have to wait until the male is finished with his nest, just so long as he seems to be trying to guild one.

One important factor is to have enough space. They need a 10 gallon to breed in so the female can escape the male from time to time.

How long does a tadpole take to turn into a frog?

Answers:
Tadpoles have their legs by about 9 weeks old, they are then called Froglets, the tail is then slowly absorbed. The whole metamorphosis usually takes 12 - 16 weeks. Climate and water temperature have a lot to do with this process. Some frogs and toads that live in colder climates may stay tadpoles longer, evening overwintering in this stage until spring.
I read it takes 6-8 weeks. My little girl brought some home about 6 weeks ago and one of them has now got it's front and back legs
It's a gradual process. Takes from 9 to 12 weeks. Not all tadpoles turn into little frogs. Some seem to remain as tadpoles until the cold weather when they die.Once the little frogs have completed their change they will not want to be in the pond all the time. They will need to be able to get out of the water so it sometimes is necessary to construct a simple ramp of a piece of wood or similar for them. They will spend a lot of their time in the summer in the long grass catching insects etc. They should not need feeding. There should be sufficient natural food in the pond for them.
Depends on species, temperature and where you kiss them.
6 weeks
From a tadpole straight to a frog without making any stops would be about 10 weeks.
6-16 weeks
It depends what type of frog. It its a bullfrog tadpole, it will take 2 years.

How long does a new pond have to run for before you can add your fish?

Answers:
Assuming you dechlorinate the water in the pond, size will have nothing at all to do with it. An empty dechlorinated pond will be just as ready for stock in an hour as in a week. Unless you cycle the pond before adding fish you should add slowly and build up slowly to the maximum bio-load for the pond. Many things will affect the maximum load of the pond other than just the size of the pond. Filtration if any, the material the pond is constructed from, plant life surrounding or in the pond, the shape of the pond as well as the amount of sunlight hitting the pond in a typical day.

If you need any assistance in determining the max. load of your pond or how quickly you can add fish, feel free to emila me.

Depends on the size of the pond - but a good site to look at to learn about the nitrogen cycle and the basics of cycling your pond, read here:

http://www.pondkoi.com/cycle.htm...
if you filled it up with chlorine water from the house, wait at least one day. Of you can add enough water conditioner to make it okay to add fish now. Prime is the best brand IMO.

When you get the fish, let their bags float unopened in the water for 20-30 minutes to get them used to the temperature. Otherwise they can go into shock. And try not to let any water from the bags get into the pond.
The first answer is both correct and good.

I would say give it a couple of days running empty. Add some plants and run for another couple of days. Get some cheap fish that won't cost you the earth if you get it wrong. Let is all settle down for a good couple of weeks. Then you can make it what you want it to be. Good luck.
You can add some as soon as the temperature of the water would be alright with that fish and the pH is correct. I hope you pick the right fish,
You should wait atleast a week after treating it to see if anything is in the water before adding fish
my ponds are left running for 2 weeks and then tested, decent pet shops will test. saves in the long run.
